Valentine Pie

Happy LOVE day everyone. I couldn't pass up posting this adorable (and free) pie project I found on Twig & Thistle. Not only does this make a great gift for your "Sweetie Pie" but a fantastic idea for my fall wedding! Who doesn't like pie in the fall? Especially one that comes in a cute custom box.

Thanks a bunch to Twig and Thistle for this great idea.

Have a great Valentines Day!

Crafting for Charity

fredflare.com is donating proceeds from handmade valentines to Elder Craftsmen, an organization based in NYC that brings craft workshops to local senior citizens.

Here's the card I submitted (BIG thanks to BG).

Take a look at the other cards that have been submitted here. All cards will be posted for sale on the fredflare website during the last week of January.

Thanks for the hot tip Brian!

Tis the Season

Christmas is my most favorite time of the year. I thought I'd drop in and share some of the Christmas cards I've been working on. A little late in the season to be starting this but now that I have I just cant stop...I mean it's 1:45 a.m. and I have to get up in 4 hours for work!!!

Anyhow, on with the show...

I created these cards with plain white paper that was pre-cut in the shape of an ornament. I used distressed ink to age 2 of the ornaments. With a little heat embossing I made transparent snowflakes (I love this effect). Ribbon, glitter and textured paper topped it all off.

I'll continue to post as I complete more.

Seasons Greetings!
